Best Marinas in Dalmatia — Berth Comparison for Yacht Charter
Comprehensive comparison of every marina in central and southern Dalmatia, including superyacht-ready berths and prices.
Dalmatia — the central and southern stretch of the Croatian coast — is the densest yacht-charter region in the Mediterranean. Between Šibenik and Dubrovnik you have over 30 functioning marinas with full services, and dozens more town quays and small fishing-port berths.
Top Marinas in Central Dalmatia
D-Marin Mandalina (Šibenik)
The largest superyacht-capable marina between Split and Zadar. 429 berths including 80+ for yachts over 30 metres. Full concierge, helicopter pad, 24h security. The base for high-end charter departures. Full Mandalina guide.
Marina Frapa (Rogoznica)
Award-winning architecture, 471 berths, max LOA 80m. Located in a sheltered bay with restaurants and a swimming pool on-site. Halfway between Split and Šibenik.
ACI Marina Split
355 berths inside Split city harbor — 5 minutes walk from Diocletian’s Palace. The most centrally located city marina in Dalmatia. Max LOA 50m.
Marina Kremik (Primošten)
500 berths, between Šibenik and Trogir. Large boatyard for refits. Quieter than Mandalina or ACI Split but full-service. Full guide.
ACI Marina Trogir
180 berths under the Trogir UNESCO old town walls. Extremely atmospheric mooring — but limited capacity, book ahead.
ACI Marina Vrboska (Hvar)
95 berths in a sheltered fjord-like inlet on Hvar’s north coast. Service for vessels up to 25m. Vrboska town is car-free and quiet.
ACI Marina Palmižana (Pakleni)
Small marina (180 berths) on Sveti Klement, the largest of the Pakleni Islands. Iconic for charter departures from Hvar Town. Books out months ahead in summer.
Top Marinas in Southern Dalmatia
ACI Marina Dubrovnik (Komolac)
380 berths up the Rijeka Dubrovačka, 6km from the old town. Full superyacht services, the only major marina between Pelješac and the Montenegrin border.
ACI Marina Korčula
159 berths on the east side of Korčula Town’s peninsula. Walking distance to the cathedral and Marco Polo House.
ACI Marina Vela Luka
120 berths at the western end of Korčula island. Less yacht-focused, more local fishing fleet, but gateway to Proizd and Vela Luka caves.
Marina Pricing — What to Expect
Mooring rates vary by yacht size, season, and marina. Typical 15-metre yacht in peak season:
- D-Marin Mandalina: €120–€150/night
- ACI Marina Split: €120–€140/night
- ACI Marina Korčula: €100–€120/night
- ACI Marina Trogir: €100–€120/night
- ACI Marina Vrboska: €80–€100/night
- ACI Marina Dubrovnik: €130–€160/night
Add ~30% for shoulder season jumps (mid-July to mid-August). Town quays (Mandrać in Hvar, Old Port in Dubrovnik) are 30–50% cheaper but limited capacity.
Booking Strategy for Charter Yachts
For peak season (mid-July–end August), book mooring at popular destinations 2–4 weeks ahead. Hvar Town and Dubrovnik Old Port should be booked the moment your charter is confirmed. ACI Marina has an online booking system; D-Marin Mandalina and Marina Frapa accept email reservations.
For full coverage of every marina, see the marinas hub.
