Approach & Position

Marina Frapa is approached through the narrow channel between Rogoznica and the small offshore islet of Smokvica. The entry is well-marked but tight (50 m wide at the narrowest point) — reduce speed to 4 knots and keep mid-channel. Once inside, the marina opens into a wide, completely sheltered basin behind the breakwater. Call on VHF 17 for berth assignment.

The marina’s position halfway between Split and Šibenik makes it a natural overnight stop on north–south transits, or a base for cruising the central Dalmatian coast in either direction. Rogoznica Town & the Hramina Lake Curiosity

The town of Rogoznica itself is a small fishing village (1,500 residents) on a peninsula with a sheltered south bay. Worth a 30-minute walk from the marina is the Lake Hramina (Slano Jezero) — a 14-m deep saltwater lake at the centre of the peninsula, connected to the sea by an underground channel. The lake has its own miniature ecosystem (trapped seawater fish, distinct algae) and mythology — locally claimed to be the lair of the “Marine Snake” (Rogoznica zmaj).
